If you've registered with us but haven't yet been to a Social, or perhaps you've been to a couple but would like to find out more, we'd like to invite you to attend our New Members' Social to come and have a chat and meet some of our other newbies and 'first and second-timers' for a drink or two.

Feedback from our monthly New Members' nights is always great. These evenings help to reassure you that the people we attract are as laid-back, chatty, friendly and sociable as we say they are and around 90% of people continue socialising with us after these nights!

We've reserved an area exclusively for our group at XXXXX bar (full details available to view upon booking), a great venue set over two floors with three stunning bars and a buzzy, vibrant but laid-back atmosphere.

There's a great drinks selection and, if you fancy something to eat through the evening, the bar menu doesn't disappoint with classic favourites like 'Home made haddock & salmon fish cakes' (£7.95) and 'Bangers & mash (£6.95) at prices that won't break the bank.

One of our hosts (a fellow member!) will be on hand to welcome you when you arrive, settle you in to the night and answer any questions you might have about the service but really it's just a great opportunity to take the plunge and start getting social with us.

It's going to be a great opportunity to make some great new Edinburgh connections and we look forward to seeing you there!

Test your general knowledge with us this Thursday night as we take part in the quiz night at XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking), and get to know some cool like-minded people over a few relaxed drinks.

XXXXX is a contemporary bar in an old warehouse set back from the shore in Leith. Relaxed and informal, XXXXX's front bar area is stylish with large wooden tables and comfy sofas.

Thursday night sees their Quiz night, allowing us to show our competitive sides and test our knowledge! We'll be able to split into teams and see who comes out on top in a fiercely fought battle.

Food is served here until 10pm and comes highly recommended, with frequently changing menus and fresh ideas. Favourites such as Beer Battered Haddock with fries (£8.95) and Beef Chilli served with tortilla chips (£4.95) are available alongside the Buffalo Burger with Mozzerella and fries (£10.95) and a Sweet Vegetable and Cashew nut Curry (£7.25).

We have a table reserved exclusively for us in the bar where one of our hosts will be expecting you when you arrive to welcome you and settle you in to the evening while you relax, chat, socialise and have fun getting to know everyone.

Join CitySocialising's Great Edinburgh World Food Tour this Autumn! Its the perfect time to really begin and explore the culinary delights that our great little city has to offer, and take part in more CitySocialising nights out.

The idea for The Great Edinburgh World Food Tour is to take full advantage of our city's mix of great ethnic cuisine and head out to a number of the top restaurants and partake in the food they serve from all over the globe, visiting Japanese, French, Spanish, Brazilian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Lebanese and as many other outposts of this planet that we can find to let our tastebuds explore!

It may be foods you know, it may be foods that you have been wanting to try and have never had the opportunity, the only requirement is a passion for food, an inquisitive nature and a huge desire to have a great time!

Our first stop on the World Food Tour is Edinburgh's gem of a Thai restaurant: Dusit. A new kind of Thai restaurant, with an innovative menu and an intimate friendly atmosphere, the skilled chefs at Dusit use the best Scottish produce and imported spices from Thailand to create modern cuisine, taken from contemporary Thai cooking, along with new flavours in more traditional dishes.

All the usual favourites, such as intensely hot and sour tom yum soup, deftly seasoned stir-fries and rich curries, feature on the menu – some with the deliciously Scottish option of venison alongside the customary beef and chicken. Even good old sweet and sour chicken is transformed into gai dusit, a mouthwatering fusion of pineapple and chilli, topped with mango shallots and cashew nuts. It's also well worth splashing out on the range of delicious seafood starters and specialities.

Prices range from £4.95 for starters, from £9.50 through to £15.95 for main dishes, with a great vegetarian selection too.

We'll all be meeting up beforehand for a pre-dinner drink or two at nearby bar XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) where one of our hosts will be at a reserved table when you arrive to welcome you and settle you in to the evening.

We'll have an hour here to chat, relax and socialise together over a drink or two before heading over to Dusit for dinner at 8.30pm.

And afterwards we'll be able to head to one of the nearby bars to end the evening with a couple more drinks and more CitySocialising!

All personal food and drinks to be payable by you (in cash) on the night, plus relevant service charge.
